Inclusive Workforce Strategies Series – HBCUs: The Triangle’s Key to Unlocking Diverse Talent in the Workforce (Raleigh Chamber of Commerce)
Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States established before the Civil Rights Act of 1964 with the primary mission of educating African American students. Right now – there are over 100 accredited HBCUs in the U.S. – 10 of them in North Carolina and 3 of them right here in the Triangle. HBCUs play a crucial role in workforce development, particularly in building relationships, career development, economic mobility, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Join us for our inaugural Inclusive Workforce Strategies session in which we discuss how the business community can maximize our incredible access to HBCU students, alumni, and campuses!
