Event Title: Job Analysis: An Objective Guide to Hiring, Accommodation, and Return to Work

Speaker: Leslie A Alvarez, ATC, CEAS, PAVE, CETS is currently a Safety Coordinator at Moffat Pipe, Inc.

Leslie is a Certified Athletic Trainer specializing in functional job analysis, ergonomics, employment testing, employment and workers’ compensation regulations, emergency medical services, injury management, early symptom intervention, and wellbeing programs. She has a variety of experience from coal, natural gas, and construction to manufacturing facilities and offices. Leslie is the developer and instructor for national certification course in job analysis and employment test development and presents on her specialties across the country. Currently Leslie is expanding her experience to incorporate direct field experience in safety. Her passion is improving quality of life of the working population in all aspects.

Discussion:

A good Job Analysis is the essential foundation necessary to build a quality labor force. A firm understanding of a job and its demands can help create reliable and defensible materials to drive toward sustainability. This presentation will address the key components of job site analysis and data interpretation. Participants will be given an opportunity to apply job analysis data to ergonomic, risk, return to work, and wellness interventions. Objectives: Participants will interpret the components of a job analysis that focuses on the purpose of the job. Participants will appraise variations of job demand reporting and categorize efficiency. Participants will use job analysis data to plan a comprehensive early intervention, return to work, accommodations, review, and wellbeing programs
