2025 Plant Molecular Biology Spring Retreat

The Plant Molecular Biology Consortium is excited to announce the first PMB Spring Retreat to be held on May 16, 2025 at NCBiotech in RTP. The program is designed to highlight the research activities of consortium members and to introduce these members to North Carolina’s community of plant molecular biologists. The program includes research lectures given by faculty, short format student talks, and informal “chalk talks” presented by faculty, postdoctoral research associates, graduate students and corporate scientists.

All participants are encouraged to present a Chalk Talk (an informal presentation) on their current research or ideas for future research. In keeping with the spirit of chalk talks, no formal posters will be allowed, but a minimal number of prepared figures may be used in the chalk talks if the speakers consider them essential. Chalk talks are great vehicles for communication.
