Networking 101: How to Utilize Local Micro-influencers to Promote their Businesses
Networking is an essential part of business development. These quarterly one-hour seminars, presented by local experts, will deliver ideas and tips on developing business relationships by networking at events. They also will share how to follow up post-event.
Craig & Caroline Makepeace are the founders and publishers of the blog, ThisIsRaleigh.com and Instagram @ThisIsRaleigh. Their blog and Instagram account are dedicated to sharing the best things to do in Raleigh including where to eat, drink, play, and stay. Australians who spent 22 years traveling through 50 countries and living in 5 (Ireland, Thailand, England, Australia and now the USA), Craig and Caroline first moved to Raleigh in 2004 and chose to put down permanent roots to raise their family.
They are also the founders of one of the biggest family travel blogs in the world, yTravelBlog.com, and have partnered on marketing campaigns with clients such as American Express, Ford, Canon, Qantas, Allianz Travel, Visit California, Carnival Cruise Lines, the Outer Banks, Visit North Hills, Fenton Cary, Visit Johnston County and many other Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO’s) within the USA, Australian and Asian markets. They have also been featured on sites such as Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveller, Forbes, and Today.com and in 2019 they were awarded Green Cards by the U.S. government due to their “blogging business success!”
Before becoming an online entrepreneur Craig played Professional Rugby League for six years in Sydney with the North Sydney Bears, and Caroline was an elementary school teacher with 15-years teaching experience in 5-countries, and it was via an education company based in Chapel Hill, ParticipateLearning.com, that they first relocated to the Triangle area.
