Young Professionals Network Community Involvement (Raleigh Chamber of Commerce)
Looking for a fun and easy way to give back to your community? Look no further than the Young Professionals Network’s Spring Service Day! On Friday, April 28, join us as we partner with The Great Raleigh Cleanup and Activate Good.
Over the years The Great Raleigh Clean Up has held 147 events where over 800 volunteers have assisted in removing 90,956 lbs of litter and debris from our local communities, while diverting 12,267 lbs of metal away from landfills. During our volunteer time, we will be cleaning up an outside area in Raleigh (location TBA).
Starting in 2022, Activate Good has been partnering with up to six Wake County Schools a year to strengthen community support for schools and PTAs serving under-resourced communities. They have been doing a variety of volunteer projects to beautify and clean up schools. During our volunteer time, we will be painting classrooms at Baileywick Road Elementary School.
We look forward to partnering with both nonprofits on this event and doing our part to help keep our city clean and schools beautiful for our citizens and students alike. Not only will you have the chance to make a difference in our community, but you’ll also get to learn about a new organization and meet other young professionals.
