In September, AI RTP will explore AI Regulation, why it is necessary, possible threats, and a comparison of solutions proposed & implemented by international economies. Our speaker, Sumedh Patkar, will enlighten us on these topics. Sumedh holds a Master’s in Computer Science from NC State.

This presentation will also review an alternative regulatory framework proposed by researchers of the Economic Advisory Council of India. This framework is based on Complex Adaptive Systems theory and proposes flexible and adaptable policies that would react to changing AI capabilities. This framework has shown successful implementation for financial systems and has parallels for AI regulation.
