Ice House Entrepreneurship Program (The Hurt Hub@Davidson)

The Davidson community is invited to take part in free entrepreneurial mindset training this August!
The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program is designed to inspire and engage participants in the fundamental aspects of an entrepreneurial mindset as an essential life skill. The program draws upon eight fundamental concepts of entrepreneurial thought and process derived from the companion text, Who Owns the Ice House? Eight Life Lessons from an Unlikely Entrepreneur.
By the end of the program cohort participants will be able to:
- Establish and develop entrepreneurial attitudes, behaviors, and skills
- Understand and experience the entrepreneurial process
- Identify social and situational factors that encourage or inhibit entrepreneurial behavior
The Hurt Hub is thrilled to welcome back, Certified Entrepreneurial Mindset Facilitator, Cherese Spand, CFF®.
Details:
When: Wednesdays August 21-Sep 18 from 6:30pm-8:30pm
Where: The Hurt Hub 210 Delburg, Davidson, NC | Room 208
Commitment: Cohort participants generally spend 2-4 hours each week outside of our meeting time reading, watching course videos, and completing discussion board based assignments.
Who: This program is for Davidson community members through the Amplify Davidson initiative. It is attended for ages 18+. Participants do not need to be an entrepreneur or small business owner to attend.
Dinner and a copy of Who Owns the Ice House will be provided.

About Your Instructor:
Cherese L. Spand has thrived in the financial services industry for over a 20 years. She attended Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry NY. Her corporate and secular experience has grown into a Passion to educate her clients in the areas of insurance, tax-free retirement planning and asset protection. Having the background as a Cosmetology Educator coupled with strong managerial skills and training created a perfect storm. The collaboration of the two industries prompted Cherese to address a need that was lacking, Financial Literacy for Women and Women in business. Cherese’s unique skill set and determination has set her apart in the Financial Services arena. Her focus is educating families on the importance of having a solid financial blueprint.
Her Philanthropic and community service efforts include:
· Founding Executive Board Member for Monroe County Women’s Commission.
· Board member of the Diversity Council for the LKN Chamber of Commerce.
· Chair of Legacy on the Westside Davidson.
· As a Member of Rotary International where she won Distinguished Rotarian of the year for 2018-2019.
