Winston Starts Funding Workshop (Nc Idea)
Join Winston Starts for an exciting in-person event. This joint funding workshop will provide details on the following programs. Lunch will be provided.
Representatives from the One North Carolina Small Business Program will discuss the following two programs, which you can now apply for through the NC Department of Commerce:
- SBIR/STTR Phase I Incentive Funds Program: Provides reimbursement to qualified NC businesses for a portion of the costs incurred in preparing and submitting Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) proposals to federal agencies.
- SBIR/STTR Phase I Matching Funds Program: Awards matching funds to NC businesses that have received a federal SBIR or STTR award.
NC IDEA Foundation staff will provide an overview of the upcoming Spring 2024 NC IDEA MICRO ($10,000) and NC IDEA SEED ($50,000) grants, which provide funding to early-stage, high-growth companies. Applications close in February.
